ChromeOS Flex offers almost all the great benefits of ChromeOS and is a true improvement over your existing Windows or Mac operating system, all at no cost. However, there are a few differences.

ChromeOS devices include hardware and security chips designed by Google that allow for integrated verified boot and firmware, which ChromeOS Flex does not. Additionally, if you need Android apps and the managed Google Play Store, that feature is only available on ChromeOS devices.

You must purchase a Chrome Enterprise Upgrade (or Chrome Education Upgrade) for each ChromeOS Flex device you want to manage in order to enroll it in your organization. Once enrolled, you can use the Google Admin console to manage these devices, apply policies, and get support.
